Superior University #109

On October 18, 2012, in Projects, by julieneu

So, I mentioned that I also finished Superior University lesson #109 this week. This one uses the NiteLite glow-in-the-dark thread that I mentioned I had just ordered. Here’s the project for this month’s lesson, which will soon be on its way to my 4 year old nephew:

pillowcase in Halloween fabric with satin stitched "boo"s

The words will glow in the dark. Cool, huh?

Here’s the other project that I was working on that uses the thread:

black and purple Amish bars quilt with white quilting thread

I call this “Electric Amish” because I hand quilted it with white and light purple NiteLite thread so it glows in the dark too.  The exciting thing about this one is that it has been selected by C&T to appear in a book to be out next Fall on Amish and Amish-inspired quilts.  I have been working on this one for years and had to really rush to get it finished to be submitted on time, but I am thrilled beyond words that it’s going to be in the book.
